The VA is dedicated to providing more care, benefits, and services to an ever-increasing number of Veterans. In 2023, VBA achieved a significant milestone by completing over 1.9 million disability compensation and pension claims – a record-breaking achievement, surpassing the previous year’s record by 15.9%. This accomplishment is a result of our continuous improvement in claims processing, including increased capacity for Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations, digitization of federal records, and a streamlined hiring and onboarding process.
