Today’s Wordle Answer Revealed
Wordle game interface displayed on two different smartphones, showcasing the popular word puzzle.
So, are you ready to know today’s Wordle answer for game #1,341?
The Wordle answer for today is… MADLY.
Greetings, Wordlers! Today’s puzzle proved to be quite challenging. Only two letters in the answer – ‘A’ and ‘L’ – are among the ten most frequently used letters in Wordle solutions.
This made starting words that prioritize common letters, like ORATE, less effective. In this case, ORATE only revealed a single yellow ‘A’, leaving a daunting 161 potential answers according to WordleBot.
However, WordleBot’s best Wordle start words demonstrated their superiority once again. Words like SLIDE could narrow down the possibilities to just 20, while TABLE reduced it further to 11. Using DEALT as a starting word would have left only four possible solutions.

For my second guess, I focused on incorporating ‘L’, ‘I’, ‘S’, ‘N’, and ‘C’, aiming to utilize a mix of common and potentially helpful letters. I chose NAILS, which proved to be a successful move, turning both ‘A’ and ‘L’ green and reducing the possible solutions to just five, according to WordleBot.
Next, I tried DALLY, which further refined the answer by turning ‘Y’ green and ‘D’ yellow. At this point, the answer pattern was clearly ?ADLY.
Two likely options emerged: BADLY and MADLY. I initially guessed BADLY, which turned out to be incorrect. However, this eliminated one possibility, making my fifth and final guess of MADLY a straightforward solution.
We hope you fared better than this walkthrough today, Wordlers! Join us again tomorrow for the next Wordle challenge.
WordleBot’s potential solutions were: BADLY, MADLY, CAULK, DALLY, and GAYLY.
Yesterday’s Wordle Answer Analysis
Are you reading this in a different time zone? The Wordle answer for game #1,340 was INDIE.
Hello again, Wordlers. Yesterday’s puzzle was slightly tricky as well. Only 34 Wordle answers begin with the letter ‘I’, and in yesterday’s word, it appeared twice!
Furthermore, ‘I’ is not among the most common Wordle letters, meaning it’s absent from my usual starting word, ORATE. Using ORATE only revealed a green ‘E’, leaving a daunting 101 possible answers.
Once again, WordleBot’s best Wordle start words proved more effective. For example, PLANE reduced the options to 36, and CRANE to 24. Starting with TRIED would have narrowed it down to just ten possibilities.

For my second attempt, I aimed to incorporate a combination of ‘L’, ‘I’, ‘S’, ‘N’, and ‘C’ around the confirmed letters.
With only a green ‘E’ from the first guess, SLICE seemed like a good choice. Although it only added a yellow ‘I’, it narrowed the possibilities down to nine, according to WordleBot.
My next guess was IMBUE, which turned ‘I’ green but didn’t reveal any other letters.
However, this effectively eliminated all but the correct answer. After considering the remaining letters, the solution became clear: INDIE!
We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Wordle challenge, Wordlers. See you again tomorrow!
WordleBot’s potential solutions were: HINGE, GENIE, PIXIE, GIMME, MIDGE, BINGE, INDIE, PIQUE, and IMBUE.

Wordle Tips and Strategies to Enhance Your Game
The most impactful tip for Wordle success is to utilize one of the best Wordle start words. It cannot be overstated how significantly this improves your game.
Without a strategically chosen starting word, you’re essentially guessing blindly, attempting to identify the correct letters from 26 possibilities. However, experts have analyzed letter frequency in the English language and within Wordle answers to pinpoint the most effective starting words. Leverage this research to your advantage!
Secondly, consider letter combinations, especially at the beginning and end of words. Certain combinations are far more common than others. For example, SH, ST, CR, and CH are frequent in English words. Recognizing these patterns can guide your guesses.
Vowel placement is also crucial. While not every Wordle answer contains multiple vowels, many do, and some even include three. A well-chosen starting word should incorporate a couple of common vowels. If your initial guesses don’t reveal any vowels, it’s wise to introduce more in your subsequent attempts. Also, remember the letter Y, which often acts as a vowel substitute and frequently appears at the end of words.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to test out potential answers. As long as you don’t press ‘Enter’, you can experiment with different letter arrangements on the Wordle grid to visualize possibilities. Input likely letters, including those you know are in the word, and mentally swap out letters to explore different combinations. This technique is particularly useful when the Wordle answer is less common or not immediately obvious, such as FJORD or ISLET.

Wordle officially launched in October 2021, but its origins trace back to June of the same year, marking its first anniversary on June 19, 2022. (For perspectives on game improvements, you might find our article on 5 ways Wordle should improve insightful.)
Wordle’s popularity surged dramatically towards the end of 2021, going viral in January 2022 as players worldwide discovered its appeal. Its success led to The New York Times acquiring Wordle for a seven-figure sum in early February, making it part of NYT Games.
Wordle is accessible through the NYT Games website and remains free to play. Both the NYT and the game’s creator, Josh Wardle, have affirmed its free-to-play status. While some believe Wordle has become harder since the NYT acquisition, evidence suggests otherwise.
Wordle is a straightforward game: guess a five-letter word in six attempts. After each guess, you receive feedback indicating which letters are in the target word and if they are in the correct position.
Correctly placed letters turn green, letters present in the word but in the wrong position turn yellow, and letters not in the word at all turn gray.
